Carolyn RussoOwner, MS, CPDT, CDBC, Owner, Certified Pet Dog Trainer; Certified Dog Behavior Consultant

” Hi! I’m Carolyn! I holds a Master’s degree in Behavior from the University of Arkansas, am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, and have been certified with the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and am an active member of the American Boarding Kennel Association and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. As a dedicated fund raiser for animal rights organizations, I have a passion for dogs and it shows. It has been a long time dream of mine to open a ‘State of the Art’ dog facility where can provide a home-like environment unlike traditional kennel facilities. I have been working with dogs for over 15 years in many capacities including behavioral & training work, therapy dogs, canine T-Touch massage and holistic health care. I am currently focused on the study of pack dynamics and socialization. I also have many years of corporate finance and software experience for large companies such as Ernst & Young, MTV Networks, PepsiCo among others. I am very proud of what Waggin’ Tails has done for the community including adopting the Plano Animal Shelter, raising thousands of dollars and donating both money and services to Operation Kindness, DFW Lab Rescue, Dallas Bichon Frise Club, Dallas Boston Terrier Society, Plano Books n Barks, SPCA, and many businesses too numerous too mention. Waggin’ Tails was also named Plano Small Business Success Story by the SBA and voted Best of “D” Magazine! I have two Weimaraners named Bailey and Kacey who’s pictures can be found painted on the wall in Doggie Delight at Waggin’ Tails. They are also regular customers!”

Christina Smith: Manager

“Hi! I’m Christina! I have been working for Waggin’ Tails for two and a half years and I can truly say that it is the best place to be. I love being able to connect with all the dogs individually. I previously have volunteered with other facilities including the Richardson Animal Shelter and non- animal organizations like Hospice Plus. I just recently began volunteering for insync exotics in Wylie – if you have not been there I highly recommend you go! I have 3 dogs of my own including a Border Collie, a Chihuahua/Papillon mix, and a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. They all love squirrels. I can say squirrel – and they all run to the back door ready for me to open the door so they can chase them! When I’m not at work I enjoy getting to spend precious time with my baby Adeline, helping my dad garden, and volunteering when I have time.”

I have a rescue named Finnigan that is a German stipz, a Pomeranian Xena who I raised from the age of 6 weeks, a blue russian cat named Smokey that i have raised since he was a kitten, and a black cat named Taps.
